Held within our fully equipped silversmithing studio in the Historical Jewellery Quarter come and spend a day hand crafting your own wedding bands. You will have exclusive use of the workshop, expert tuition from an experienced and friendly jeweller and two totally unique and very special wedding rings.
Shop Engagement Rings
When crafting your rings you will be expertly guided through each step and given all the help you need. Starting with design and moving on to heating, shaping, hammering, soldering and finishing. We then send your rings off to be hallmarked and any finishing necessary is completed by us such as an extra polish or arranging engraving so that your handmade bespoke rings are perfect.
Your workshop experience includes our guidance, practice metal and materials, hallmarking, photos, finishing and ring boxes to keep your jewellery safe. When booking we will discuss the materials you'd like to use so we can order these ahead ready for the day, the materials are at an additional cost.

Build Your Own Couple's Set
We want to create a memorable experience at the workshop, one which you will always cherish together. So we will provide plenty of complimentary teas, coffees, and nibbles, a bottle of bubbles to take home and decorate the workshop with flowers. During the workshops we often get to chat about all the exciting plans for the big day and many of our brides and grooms wonderful weddings are featured online, we think we must get as excited as them when we get to see all the wonderful pictures and happy moments and especially when there are a few snaps of the rings!

Nature Inspired Jewelry
Creating your own weddings rings allows you create the rings that you will love and cherish for a lifetime.A piece of metal that holds so much sentiment can be made even more important as they are made by your own fair hands.
The session is made more intimate and special by having the workshop to yourselves. The class takes approx 3 hours, where we provide a catered lunch, with a bottle of bubbly on hand to toast the final rings! We also provide a small photo book to cherish the memories.
The day itself costs £295 per couple (not per person)and that includes the lunch, prosecco, the photo book, wedding ring box, tools and experience. The cost of your chosen material is then added to the class cost.
Custom Engagement Rings: How To Design And Create Your Own
You have a choice of making the rings in the following materials. The cost differs greatly but we will discuss your options and pricing prior to the day. You also have the option to up-cycle your own metal, where pricing can be discussed.
[Platinum, Palladium and Rose Gold can be cast using a silver master created on the day - please ask for further details]
To help you gauge the cost of materials we have detailed the cost of a classic court shaped wedding band at 3mm and 5mm, please note that the cost is subject to change based on the size, width, design and weight of the ring.
Build Your Own Engagement Ring
Please get in touch if you would like to make your wedding rings. We always try our best to make this a very special occasion for you. We can run workshops any time of the week and can be flexible to suit you. Adding extras can add 1-2 weeks on the delivery of the rings depending on the request. Due to UK law, we always have to send your rings for hallmarking.
The class is to be paid up front with the remaining materials cost and any extras paid a week before the workshop.

Love & Engagement
The experience itself costs £330 per couple (not per person) and covers an initial 20 minute consultation (either in The Smiddy or online) followed later by your private workshop which includes lunch, a photo book, wedding ring box, all tools and hire of our workshop. The cost of your chosen material is then added to the workshop cost afterwards as there is a huge variance in cost of different metals (see below).
You have a choice of making the rings in the following materials. The cost differs greatly but we will discuss your options and pricing at your consultation, prior to the workshop. You also have the option to up-cycle your own metal, where pricing can be discussed.
